Complete Readout Services with an Accent on Service.

Airworthiness authorities worldwide require periodic readout and analysis of Digital Flight Data Recorder (DFDR) data in order to verify system integrity. In the past, the sole means
of compliance was a ground check, or removal of the recorder for shipment to the OEM.
This involved costly labor, shipping charges, re -certification, and spares costs.

We can ease this burden and keep you legal. By providing equipment and services to read the recorder ON the aircraft, then electronically transfer the data to our secure servers, Avionica can drastically reduce the time and cost involved in performing this mandatory activity. Our analysts use AVSCAN, our acclaimed Flight Data Analy sis software, to quickly and accurately interpret your flight data and present any anomalies.

Committed. Data analysis is an integral component of our operations. As OEM of the RSU, miniQAR, and AVSCAN, we’re keenly interested in the science of data recor ding and related technology. For the past 10 years, we’ve worked with airlines, OEMs, the US military, several regulatory agencies, and even NASA to improve the capabilities of our equipment,
software, and procedures. These efforts are reflected in the qua lity of our readout services.

Educated. Services personnel are all degreed Electrical or Aeronautical engineers.
Several Readout Services personnel are licensed pilots. Services personnel undergo
routine training, reviewing new data frames as applicable to our customers, as well as
new software releases.

Experienced. Services personnel have over 100 years of combined experience, including years of service at Boeing, McDonnell - Douglas, Sundstrand, Martin- Marietta, TWA, and Gables Engineering. And with customers the world over, and several hundred aircraft under contract, we’ve seen most problems - across most fleets.

Networked. We constantly interact with our OEM customers (e.g. Boeing, Embraer, Collins, Rolls Royce, Teledyne) and strategic partners to resolve parametric anomalies on behalf of our mutual airline customers.

Objective. We’re neither directly employed by our clients, nor stand to gain by selling repair and re -certification services. We report the facts.

Stable. Our services group has seen N O turnover in 8 years. When customers call for answers, they speak with an individual who KNOWS their fleet.

Available. Your Airline doesn’t sleep… neither do we. 24/7/365 AOG support is part of all readout contracts. Avionica maintains redundantly available duty personnel at all times. Duty personnel can be reached toll -free for maximum availability to your staff.

Responsive. In the case of an airline equipped with our data collection devices, our team
can receive the data quickly, analyze only the relevant parameters, and supply answers
with backup documentation to airline maintenance and engineering departments, quickly and at all hours.

Economical. In addition to providing a mandatory service at very competitive rates,
experience indicates that approximately 8% of readouts received will be maintenance or incident related. We often investigate engine exceedances and isolated system failures. A single engine saved can often pay for a year’s worth of service.

The biggest savings accumulate by dele ting removal, re- certification, logistics, and spares costs from the equation. A rough estimate demonstrates an ROI of less than one year in most cases, even when including the purchase cost of an Avionica RSU, at a small airline:
