Simone Segredo
Director, Finance

Mrs. Segredo earned her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Florida International University in 1992 and a Master’s degree in the Science of Taxation from the University of Miami in 1994.

She began her career at Deloitte & Touche LLP and achieved Certified Public Accounting status in the fall of 1995. During her four-year tenure at the firm’s Miami office, she worked on special assignments for the national office in Washington D.C.

In 1998, Mrs. Segredo accepted the position of Controller at Avionica, Inc. Since 2007, she fulfills the role of Director of Finance. Mrs. Segredo is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

 

Fannie Cocalides
Director, Production

Fannie's staff is tasked with purchasing, receiving, production, and shipping. As one of Avionica's most senior employees, she brings a unique insight to product manufacturability.

Her 15 years of experience, and rigorous attention to process and detail have all helped ensure the affordability, durability, and legendary reliability of Avionica's products, and has built our reputation for shipping correctly and on time.

Fannie also holds a Masters degree in clinical psychology from Florida International University.

 

Anthony Rios
Director, Engineering

Anthony has risen rapidly through the ranks at Avionica to lead our growing Engineering group.

Anthony holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Florida International University. He is a licensed pilot and brings 7 years experience in the design of various ground support and airborne systems, including quick acess recorders, WiFi wireless, and SATCOM systems.

Anthony is actively involved in various ARINC working groups.


Howard Chambers
Director, Quality Assurance

Howard joined Avionica to reinforce our design documentation and manufacturing processes.

Howard has over 15 years experience in the aviation and telecommunication industries, having held positions in manufacturing engineering, configuration management and engineering management.

 

 

Michael Miles
Manager, Product Support
Michael brings to bear over 30 years of electronic design experience with much of it in the avionics field. He currently serves as Director of Product Support, having been at Avionica since 1998.

Michael has held single and multi-engine pilot ratings since 1976 and has previously held design and management positions in the medical and marine electronics fields, in addition to his significant avionics background.

 

Nigel Wilkins,
Manager, Programs

Nigel Wilkins is the Program Manager for Avionica.  He holds a Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (equivalent to Bachelor of Science degree) from Hatfield Polytechnic in England .  He also completed a recognized Engineering Apprenticeship program with Hawker Siddeley Dynamics (now British Aerospace).

Nigel has gained over 30 years of aerospace and aircraft design, with progressive management, project and program management experience with Gulfstream, Boeing, Westland Helicopter, British Aerospace and Israel Aircraft Industries on aircraft including the GIV and GV, B757, B747 Air Force One, EH101 Helicopter, A300 and the Lavi fighter.
