satLINK Provides Iridium Communications on Boeing 787 Maiden Flight
Avionica has installed hundreds of Iridium satellite communications systems on Boeing aircraft the world over. Installations include other Boeing fleets such as the 727, 737, 747, 757, and 767. Supplemental Type Certificates are also available for aircraft of other major manufacturers. Avionica, Inc. specializes in complete flight data and management solutions comprising both airborne avionics as well as ground support equipment. Additional products include secureLINK, the airborne 802.11 wireless gatelink router, the miniQAR, the world’s first miniature quick access flight data recorder. Soon to be released is the company's miniQAR Mk III, available with 3G wireless GSE Module for data communication, still weighing less than 9 oz.
